detained

Well we were planning on being on the road first thing this morning, but.............................................. there seems to be a lack of communication between doctors office and pharmacy and I am the one loosing because I still don't have my prescription. Hopefully they will get it straightened out and we can start our travels sometime today.

Granddaughter, Samantha visits from Alaska

Samantha flew all day Sat. March 30th to arrive in Las Vegas at 9PM that evening. During her travels she had a 4 hr layover in Portland so Rick and Cindy picked her up and took her to dinner. We spent the night in Sam's Town RV Park and got up early the morning of the 31st to travel to Aztec NM. Roger had a nice baked ham dinner waiting when we arrived. On Monday April 1st he baked one of his special carrot cakes and we celebrated Samantha's birthday a day early. On
Wed. Apr 3rd Roger took us out to a nice prime rib dinner. Then on Thursday we drove all day again to get back to Pahrump.

On Friday we explored the town of Pahrump (what there is of it) we were all ready for a break from riding. On Saturday  we drove up to the mining claim where grandpa goes

 

 

and got to see some wild donkeys. Then we went on to Beatty to the candy factory. That evening Joe and Lois (friends) took us all out to dinner.

This morning Apr 7th we left Pahrump at 4AM to take her to Las Vegas to catch a 7AM flight back to Alaska . We sure enjoyed having her here and being able to visit with her.

Blooming

The trees are blooming. Not sure how good you can see them in this picture, but this tree is full of beautiful white flowers. We also have one full of lavender flowers. The rose bushes have developed big buds that look like they could bloom any day now.

Samantha

We are thrilled and excited that our granddaughter Samantha will be visiting us at the end of the month. She is our visitor from Alaska. We are anxious to see her.

teeth

Well Don did get his upper teeth pulled and an upper denture put in. The denture looks good. Now he is dealing with some discomfort while his gum heals

Dentist

On our way to dentist in Vegas. Don will have 8 teeth pulled and upper denture  today.
