Time Flies

WOW I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted. Guess that comes from being busy. We are all in fairly good health and hope all our friends and family are too!

I have stayed busy with paperwork and such trying to clean up my dad's estate and am hoping we have reached a point we can close within the next couple of months. It is amazing how difficult things can be even when one leaves a will.

We have not done a lot of traveling this winter one short trip to Irvine California.

We have installed a lot of kitchen cabinets created our own handles from teaspoons  for the cupboard door. We are in the process of building our own countertops and installing them now. Then Don can hook the plumbing up. After that will come the backsplash and completing the rollaway kitchen island. May not sound like a lot of work but it takes us awhile since we have gotten in the habit of only working when we want to or feel like it or when there isn't something more fun and interesting to do.

Don has gotten involved in helping a gravel and construction company that is expanding the gun training range called Front Sight here. In fact yesterday and today there is a film crew there filming the start of the project.

For those of you who have never heard of Front Site.

Front Sight Firearms Training Institute's world-class firearms training facilities near Las Vegas, Nevada -- taught by seasoned and professional law enforcement, military, and private citizen instructors to levels that far exceed law enforcement and military standards, without any boot camp mentality or drill instructors attitudes. After your first self defense firearms training course at Front Sight you will leave with self defense firearms training skills that surpass 99% of the gun owning population!

... far from las vegas nevada is a little slice of paradise known as front

Don is suppose to be moving the big scrapper in this morning. He is feeling young and frisky since he went and got his cdl physical and the doctor asked him if he was sure of his birthdate. Doctor said 69 year old men are usually not in as good s shape as he is.

It is beginning to warm up around here had to turn on the air conditioner yesterday. We are beginning to think about where we want to spend our summer this year. We are really hoping that dads estate will close we can spend it in Alaska visiting friends and family.

Take care ya all

2014

Well 2014 is here!!

We sincerely hope that 2014 is a happy, healthy and prosperous year for our family and friends.

Don and I are doing well. We had a nice quiet Christmas. We stayed home on New Year's Eve. Don stayed up and watched the Las Vegas fireworks display on TV, while I was in bed and sound asleep by 10:30.

We are currently in Pahrump. Don is involved in some mechanical projects with friends and we continue to work on the house and property.

We will be going to California for about a week later on in the month.

Ya all take care.

During our drive through Death Valley we stopped at: Zabriskie Point is a part of Amargosa Range located east of Death Valley in Death Valley National Park in California

On Sunday Dec. 22nd we decided to take a drive through Death Valley National Park in California.

Haven't posted in awhile so will try to catch you up on what we have been doing.

We got home from Everett WA on Oct. 28. We had 0 trick or treaters on Halloween all was quiet.

All our hard work on Dads house paid off  we had a buyer in 11 days from the time we listed it. The sale has closed so that part of things is taken care of.

We had to return to Everett on Nov. 19th to be in probate court on the 21st. On the 23rd we headed home again. Traveling with us was Rick and Cindy. They were able to stay through Thanksgiving and returned home to Vancouver, WA on Nov 29th.

As far as settling dads estate we are in the waiting period any creditors have 120 days in which to come forward.

In between trips we have been working on our house and property.
